Stratford East Reveals Full Cast For Robin Hood And The Merry Mandem Christmas Pantomime

A new hero is heading to East London this Christmas, with a fresh take on a classic tale coming to the Stratford East stage.

The theatre has now revealed the cast who’ll be joining the adventure, which swaps Sherwood Forest for the streets of E15.

Ashley Joseph will lead Robin Hood and the Merry Mandem as Robin, with Helen K Wint playing Marian. The cast also includes Toyin Ayedun-Alase as Mayor and Eshan Gopal as Lil John Jr.

Daniel Jacob will play Muva, while Nickcolia King-N’da takes on the role of Will Scarlet. Kandaka Moore completes the announced cast as FT, bringing together the company for Stratford East’s latest festive production.

This version follows Robin and the Merry Mandem as they make their way across East London, taking on the rich and standing up for their neighbours. We’ll see them travel through familiar local spots, with plenty of jokes about life in Stratford along the way.

The pantomime is written by Yolanda Mercy and directed by Stratford East’s Associate Artistic Director Jade Lewis. Music and lyrics come from returning panto favourite Robert Hyman, with Stewart J. Charlesworth designing the sets and costumes.

Robin Hood and the Merry Mandem runs from 21 November 2026 until 2 January 2027. Tickets are on sale now.
