One of Nottingham’s biggest Christmas traditions is getting ready for another festive season, with the full cast now revealed for a new production promising plenty of familiar faces alongside some newcomers.
Aladdin will take over Nottingham Playhouse from 27 November 2026 until 16 January 2027, with local panto favourite John Elkington returning as Widow Twankey and Danny Hendrix back at the theatre to take on the title role.
Bradley Judge returns as Wishy Washy alongside Lara Sas as the Spirit of the Ring and Ruler, while the role of Abanazar will be shared by returning performer Tom Hopcroft and Nottingham Playhouse newcomer Thomas Levi across the run.
Eloise Runnette will make her Nottingham Playhouse panto debut as the Genie of the Lamp and PC World, while Mary Suarez joins the company as Princess Jasmine for her first ever pantomime; a group of 14 young local performers will also alternate as the production’s Young Chorus.
This year’s Aladdin is written and directed by Nottingham Playhouse Artistic Director Adam Penford, with the production promising huge costumes and plenty of comedy, while a new state-of-the-art magic carpet is set to send Aladdin flying above the stage.
