Floral Pavilion Reveals Star Cast For Aladdin Pantomime In New Brighton

A big festive adventure is heading to New Brighton this Christmas, and the Floral Pavilion has now revealed more of the cast who’ll be bringing its latest family pantomime to life.

CBBC favourite James Mackenzie will lead the trouble as Abanazar, while Sean Jones returns for an impressive seventh year at the Floral Pavilion to play Wishee Washee.

Taking the title role is West End performer James-Royden Lyley, whose credits include 9 to 5 the Musical and 42nd Street.

SIX star Yna Montarde will join him as Princess Jasmine, bringing another West End name to this year’s company.

There’s also a major panto first for Scott Gallagher. The Blackpool radio presenter will make his Dame debut as Widow Twankey after spending years appearing in pantomimes around the country.

Scott says he’s ready to earn his “Dame wings” and couldn’t think of a better place to do it.

James Mackenzie is well known to many of us as Raven from the hit CBBC series. More recently, younger viewers have seen him in Molly and Mack. He says he can’t wait for Merseyside and Wirral audiences to boo him as he causes plenty of trouble with Sean Jones.

With the main cast now taking shape, Aladdin is promising a Christmas packed with panto magic and plenty of laughs. The festive adventure begins at the Floral Pavilion on 5 December.
